We could say that Inside People is a book about Latin American prisons—about the harsh reality faced by incarcerated people, their stories, and the atmosphere that surrounds them. But no: this is not a book about them. It is a book about her —a journalist who experiences it all up close— about her emotions, her memories, and her poetic journey through the difficult landscape of working inside places of confinement.
